Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé de régénération d'un catalyseur de déalkylation d'hydrocarbures aromatiques à la vapeur d'eau, procédé réalisé dans un des réacteurs de déalkylation que l'on a mis hors circuit en vue d'effectuer ladite régénération. Le procédé de régénération est caractérisé par une étape préliminaire consistant à balayer la zone réactionnelle mise hors circuit ainsi que le catalyseur qu'elle renferme au moyen d'un courant d'hydrogène dans des conditions déterminées. L'invention s'applique en particulier pour la déalkylation à la vapeur d'eau de toluène en présence d'un catalyseur renfermant un support et contenant un ou plusieurs métaux dont au moins le rhodium.
