Abstract

A retention assembly for a passenger in a vehicle, and, in particular, a child. This addition is to ease the installation of the child behind the retaining device. The assembly avoids having to use special straps, using normal safety belts as for adults. The seat is in two is in two parts (A, B) and there are locking facilities to give longitudinal adjustment of the two parts. The seat runs on slides (42) (44). There is stomach protection (31) with a table (33) attached, which can be slid up to the child, once it is seated properly. The assembly is retained by a single strap (39) and buckles.
