Abstract
L'invention concerne un pigment d'oxyde de fer ferrimagnétique et son procédé de préparation. Selon l'invention, on chauffe une suspension d'un oxyde-hydroxyde de fer III dans un autoclave à une température supérieure à 100 degrés C en présence d'un mono-, di- ou trisaccharide et en présence d'un hydroxyde ou carbonate de métal alcalin ou alcalino-terreux et également en présence d'un excès d'eau, on lave le pigment obtenu, on le filtre et on le sèche. Applications : rubans magnétiques pour l'enregistrement de signaux sonores, vidéo et autres.
