Abstract

Agglomérés d'alumine à bonne résistance mécanique, de granulométrie réglable de telle sorte qu'elle soit adaptée aux exigences techniques de l'utilisateur, obtenus par compactage d'un << produit intermédiaire >> provenant de la décomposition incomplète de sulfite d'aluminium contenant de 3 % à 15 % en poids de S exprimés en SO2 répondant à la formule Al2 O3 , x SO2, yH2 O, puis granulation du produit compacté, et traitement thermique du produit granulé, ainsi que leur procédé d'obtention. Les agglomérés d'alumine ont une surface spécifique, comprise entre 2 et 130 m**2/g et peuvent se présenter sous des formes diverses, telles que granules, boulets, cylindres pleins ou creux, plaquettes, etc
