Procedimiento para la obtención de aglomerados de alúmina de gran resistencia mecánica, caracterizado porque comprende compactar un producto intermedio en forma de pastilla, a una presión de 2.000 KG F/cm2 a 10.000 KG F/cm2 cuando la sustancia antes del tratamiento es cloruro de aluminio hidratado , a una presión de al menos 1.500 KG F/cm2 cuando la sustancia antes del tratamiento es un nitrato de aluminio hidratado, a una presión de al menos 200 KG F/cm2 cuando la sustancia antes del tratamiento es sulfato de aluminio hidratado, y a una presión de al menos 600 KG F/cm2 cuando la sustancia antes del tratamiento es un sulfito de aluminio hidratado
