Abstract

L'invention concerne un objet en zinc ou alliage de zinc muni d'un revêtement de chrome, déposé par électrolyse, un bain de chromage et un procédé de dépôt électrolytique. L'objet comporte un revêtement de chrome et une couche sous-jacente enrichie en chrome dont la teneur en chrome diminue progressivement à partir du revêtement et qui est au moins aussi épaisse que le revêtement Le chrome est déposé par électrolyse à partir d'un bain autorégulateur qui contient de l'acide chromique (entre 210 et 265 g/l), des ions sulfate (rapport en poids acide chromique/ions sulfate entre 75 : 1 et 125 : 1), un fluosilicate de metal alcalin (entre 0,75 g/l et 2,25 g/l), de l'acide borique (entre 0,11 g/l et 0,37 g/l) et un carbonate de métal alcalin (entre 0,075 g/l et 0,225 g/l). L'invention est applicable, notamment, au traitement des pièces en alliage de zinc moulées sous pression.
