Abstract

Verre transparent vitrocristallin au quartz bêta. Ce verre est formé en poids d'oxyde de 2,5 à 3,5 % de LiO2 , 1,5 à 2,5 % de MgO, 1 à 2 % de ZnO, 17,75 à 20 % d'Al 2 O3 , 67 à 70 % de SiO2 , 2 à 4,5 % de TiO2 et de 1 à 2 % de ZrO2 . La phase cristalline prédominante est constituée par une solution solide de quartz beta . Son coefficient de dilatation thermique est inférieur à 10 x 10**-7/ degrés C dans le domaine de température 20 degrés -600 degrés C. Il présente en outre une excellente stabilité chimique et une excellente résistance aux attaques de détergents et au tachage des aliments, une transmission supérieure à 75 % du rayonnement infrarouge de 2,5 mu de longueur d'onde. Application à la fabrication d'ustensiles de cuisine.
