Abstract

1372274 Resistance heating elements FUJI PHOTO FILM CO Ltd 15 Nov 1971 [16 Nov 1970] 52997/71 Heading H5H A helical strip resistance element 2 is spaced from the tube sheath wall 1 by projections 3 struck out from the element. The tube may be of fused quartz or a transparent crystalline glass (composition by weight 70% of SiO 2 ; 20% of Al 2 O 3 ; 3% of Li 2 O and 2% of ZrO 2 and heat treated at 850‹ C. for 16 hrs.). The element may be an iron, chromium, aluminium heat resistant alloy (25% chromium; 5% aluminium; 70% iron by weight). An example is provided giving power ratings and dimensions of an element.
