Abstract

The sunshade has spring-mounted folding arms hinging at their rear ends on the supporting tube, and supporting the extension bar at the forward ends. A gas-filled spring (4) is mounted between the two sections of each arm (5, 6) being secured to them by its ends. It can be accommodated in the angle between them, in U-section bearings fixed to them. The spring can be incorporated in a puller component spanning the hinge, and whose length remains constant when folding, and its end furthest from the hinge can be coupled by pull rods to the free end of a pull cord.
