Abstract

Umbrella with a rod on which a slider is adjustable when the forks supporting the tensioning, are hinged to the slider. A locking device consists of a first bush-shaped component to which a second bush-shaped component is connected by a first bush-shaped component to which a second bush-shaped component is connected by a pairing which is releasable in a direction normal to the axis of both components. A sprung mechanism is built in between both components to hold these components in a non-coaxial position. The first component is fixed to the umbrella rod or slider and the second engages instantaneously in a recess on the slider or rod by means of a hooking device. It removes and releases itself from the axis of the other component because of the action of the sprung mechanism, when it is brought into the coaxial position to the other component.
