Abstract

The boarding ladder (16) hangs from falls (12) connected to a frame with a base (11) and side rails (13). The side of the frame is fitted with a vacuum pad (17). The pad is made from flexible material and supplied with a double lip seal (18). The pad is connected to an air pump through a nozzle. The pad is firmly connected to the frame by a bracket. It also has a vacuum release valve (19) which is opened against the action of a spring. A trap door (14) is located in the base of the frame.
