Abstract

The appts. for collecting mussesl, from posts carrying them, comprises a hollow tube (1) carrying an upper member for connection to a lifting crane. Two movable jaws (3) are engageable around the post to close at least partly the bottom of the tube (1). Each of the jaws (3) is formed with a cutout (5) in the form of a V and which engages the post. The jaws (3) are pivoted by shafts (4) to supports (11) mounted on the tube (1) by pivots (12) and springs (13) so as to be laterally displaceable on it. The operation of the jaws (3) is controlled by hydraulic rams (6) mounted on the tube (1) and supplied with oil from the crane. The piston rods (7) are connected cables (8) to legs (9) on the jaws (3).
