Abstract
Device for the after burning of i/c engine exhaust gases, and their cooling and noise damping, has a gas feed pipe, and directly in front of or inside the cooling section an air turbulence zone (10) is provided which has air inlet (9) and outlet (16) apertures separated from the exhaust gas flow. The air outlet aperture (16) leads to a pipe (6) which acts as inner cooling pipe in the main part of the complete cooling section. This inner cooling pipe has an exhaust gas injector (11), the outflow of which points towards the air conduit (6) end issuing into atmos.
