Abstract

The valve (1) for dispensing liquids, semi-liquids or aerosols has a tapered needle (2) with a pointed end (8) which sits in a conical seat (7). The needle (2) is guided partly by ribs (16) in the front housing (5) and partly by ribs forming a cross (9) in the rear housing (10). A spring (12) keeps the valve on its seat. The valve is opened by the L-shaped lever (3) which is formed integrally with the flexible diaphragm (4). Pressing the lever arm (15) downwards causes the fork end (14) to press against the collar (13) on the valve (2) and lift it off its seat (7). The lower part (6) of the housing is of a suitable shape to form a tight fit on the liquid or aerosol container.
