Abstract

A winding spool (5) is turned by motors at a convenient speed and has its axis parallel to further spools (1-4). Spool 1 delivers a tape of insulating material (11a), and spool 2 supplies a conductive tape (2a) e.g. copper or aluminium. Spool 3 delivers a second insulating tape and spool 4 a tape of magnetic material. The insulating layers may impregnated, or self adhesive. the magnetic layer comprises magnetic material such as cobalt or iron covered on both sides by an impregnated layer and protective varnish. The spool (5) may be partially immersed in a liquid both containing the impregnating liquid which may be thermoplastic material or a hardener.
