Abstract

PURPOSE:To attempt the improvement of quality reliability under the environmental condition at high temperature and high humidity or under water by applying L- shaped insulators to the corner sections of a winding coil to reinforce an insulating layer wherein the insulator thickness is brought near to that of the insulating layer at a coil plane. CONSTITUTION:Insulating belts 7 composing of nonwoven fablics including impregnated resin or epoxy resin, mica tapes are applied to the upper and the lower side or the sides 6A, 6B of a winding coil 1 and L-shaped insulators 9 which are hard to generate cut through are closely applied to each coil corner section 8. An insulating layer 2 composing of a mica tape is provided on the insulators. Furthermore, thermocontracting polyester film 3 is wound around the insulating layer 2 and vacuum impregnation and heat curing are applied to thermosetting resin, for example, epoxy resin, unsaturated polyester resin. In this way, the insulating layer at the corner sections will be reinforced and quality reliability under the environmental condition at high temperature and high humidity or under water will be improved.
