This series connection part 4 is electrically insulated by a connection part insulator 5, and in this embodiment, a band-shaped insulating material having at least one long fiber, for example, Tetron nonwoven fabric 6, glass cloth as shown in FIG. T and laminated mica sheet 8
Insulation is performed using a band-shaped insulating material 9 formed by overlapping the two.

That is, before connecting the ends of the windings, the inner insulation consisting of an appropriate number of overlapping strips of insulating material 9 is applied over all the ends of the windings arranged circumferentially at intervals. body 5A
is placed in contact with the head 3A of the winding end, and after connecting the winding ends on that row side, all the connecting parts 4 are sandwiched between the inner insulator 5A. In this way, row-side insulators 5B made of band-shaped insulating material 9 are disposed over the entire circumference, and all the connecting portions 4 are covered with these inner and row-side insulators 5A and 5B.

Thereafter, an insulating tape 10 is wound so as to straddle both the inner and row side insulators 5A and 5B located between each connection part 4, that is, between the adjacent ends of the windings, and these are tightened. While bringing the bodies 5A and 5B into close contact with each other,
The circumferential spacing between each connecting portion 4 is maintained.

At the ends of the windings where the connecting portion 4 is insulated in this way, inner and row side insulators 5A and 5B made of strip-shaped insulating material having long fibers in the longitudinal direction are continuously disposed over the entire circumference. Therefore, its rigidity is high, and it has sufficient mechanical strength to withstand even when the end of the armature winding is subjected to an electromagnetic force several times more than that during steady operation, such as in the case of a three-phase short circuit. It will be done.

In addition, from the viewpoints of work and usage environment, it is recommended to use prepreg material impregnated with resin and semi-cured as the inner and row side insulators before disposing them as described above. It's advantageous.

As explained above, according to the present invention, continuous band-shaped insulators are brought into contact with each other from both sides of a plurality of connection parts disposed in the circumferential direction at intervals, and these band-shaped insulators are is tightened between adjacent winding ends using tightening tape, each connection can be effectively insulated, and the winding ends can be reinforced by the band-shaped insulator commonly applied to each connection. Mechanical strength can be increased.
