Abstract
The electromagnet has a ferromagnetic core enclosing its excitation winding. The winding consists of insulated electrically conducting strips wound into a helix. The ferromagnetic core fills the spaces between the winding's turns. The core (1) consists of two parts (2, 3). The first part (2) comprises at least one strip of electrically conducting material wound into a helix. The second part (3) represents the yoke and is made by fusing a ferromagnetic layer (11) onto the ends (12) of the first part.
