Abstract

The cleaning device for textiles, in particular carpets, which moves over the floor has, between the discharge side of the suction fan (4) and a device (11) for producing cleaning foam, a precipitator (26) for the dirt carried along with the air, which dirt is centrifuged out in the precipitator and passes from the latter via an annular passage opening (51) into a dirt container (25). Provided in the compressed air line (32), for the filtered, clean compressed air, leading from the precipitator (26) to the device (11) for producing cleaning foam is a branch line (34) for excess air. The air throughput to this line (34) can be adjusted by means of a control member (15). The excess air can provide additional or exclusive drive energy for a brush (3) which rotates near to an outlet nozzle (37) for the cleaning foam.
