Abstract

The lamp assembly has an electric light bulb situated in a housing, the end of the bulb being the same diameter as the housing discharge. The bulb is adjustable in a longitudinal direction inside the housing for varying the amount of light emitted from the apparatus. An air supply is connected by a socket to the top of the housing for discharging air through the gap between the lamp bulb and the discharge orifice when the bulb is off its seat. Slots are formed in the sides of the housing permitting axial air flow when the orifice is sealed by the bulb ring.
