Abstract

The air distributer is for soundproofing a building and for providing a smoke outlet in the event of a fire. Its walls are manufactured from a rigid mineral fibre material formed into panels. A ventilator is suspended inside the distributer by its upper flange being bolted to the distributer roof. The panels are provided with jointing assemblies to accommodate different sized distribution pipes. they are encased in a metal outer wall made of sheet aluminium. The distributer has a series of internal compartments subdivided by vertical and horizontal partitions.
