Abstract

The bearing is for a label strip roll in a machine printing and applying the labels. It has a thrust body with faces (14) engaging with protruding dogs (67) on the spool body (6) accommodating the strip roll. A housing (2) rotates in a portion (7) of the machine, and there are springs (4) acting between it and the thrust body. Securing devices (3) pivot on the housing, having clamping shoes (33) at their free ends, and are spring-loaded (41) so as to secure the spool body in place. The housing and the thrust body are moved towards each other when the spool body is placed in position. The mounting portion sof the securing devices then engage with faces on the spool body, releasing them when the latter is removed from the labelling machine.
