Abstract

The prefabricated building system uses half portal frame elements, each of which forms part of the wall (1) as well as part of the roof (2). The tops of the elements are locked together by a pin (4) and crossmarkers (5) are inserted through the centre of the elements. A complete frame is thus formed from two elements and a number of these frames are placed together form the structure of the building, with openings left for doors and windows. The elements are shaped so that traditional types of roofing can be used and the wall section has openings at regular intervals to allow for beams. Each element has anchors for the attachment of guttering and cladding.
