Abstract

The cartons are manufactured from compressed sheets of laminated cardboard which are folded to form an inverted V-section at the top. The contents are introduced into the container and the two opposing lips are sealed by soldering them along their inside edges. A notch shaped opening is perforated at an angle of 45 deg. along one edge of the top of the carton. When the corner is torn off along the lines of the perforations, the two walls of container are pulled apart to form a spout. This runs the length of the opening up to the point where the solder secures the overlapping carton walls.
