Abstract

The projectile fuse has a housing with a rotor. The rotor has seats for initiator and grooves for a clamp for holding the initiator and rotor in safety position. The rotor is readily moved into the armed position. High functional reliability is ensured by the special shape of the holding clamp. The clamping safety element (12) has two radially curved arms (18, 19) connected by a curved web (20). The inner curve (18a, 19a) of the two arms (18, 19) matches the form of the groove in the rotor. The outside curvature (18b, 19b) matches the diameter of the groove in the support body. The curved web (20) has a smaller cross section than that of the arms. This ensures that radial forces cause a uniform deflection of both arms (18, 19).
