Abstract
A photo cell produced as in parent patent, comprises a tin-coated steel sheet as a metal support on which a layer of semiconductor, esp. silicon, doped so as to form a pn-junction, is deposited. The steel pref. has a textured structure. The photocell specifically consists of a tin-coated steel sheet produced by (i) electrolysis followed by heating to 800 degrees C in H2 to improve the adhesion of the tin or (ii) liquation.
