Abstract

The mechanism produces movement about an axis through a set angle, being particularly for the actuation of valves etc. It has a working chamber to which a medium under pressure is delivered, causing a butterfly to move about a spindle between two end positions. A one piece housing has a chamber (12) is closed by cover clear of the sector through which the butterfly travels round the spindle. The section of the working chamber tapers progressively from the opening closed by the cover, and the walls have rounded surfaces where the butterfly works against them.
