Abstract

The crimp connector, for connecting two parallel bared wires, consists of a C-shaped crimp collar. The collar is squeezed to compress the wires together into a central holder made of harder material than the crimp collar. The central holder is H-shaped and has two curved seats between its upper and lower pairs of arms and to accept the wires. The crosspiece of the H-shape is recessed to allow some movement for alignment. The outer surfaces of the two right hand arms of the H have serrations that bite into the softer material of the C-collar when it is compressed around the H.
