Abstract

A mill for making an apple puree for the preparation of a special apple dish operates so that a certain orientation of the pressing disc (6) blocks all outlet apertures (5a, to 5e). This arrangement permits the controlled discharge of puree into a frying vessel below. The inverted truncated cone shaped vessel has a pressing disc (6) in its base (4) rotated about a vertical axis by a crank handle. Several outlet apertures are equally spaced underneath around the bottom of the vessel. The pressing disc includes a radial fold and a radial split which thus form a ramped cowl (7a). Produce is forced into the cowl (7a) by disc rotation and eventually out through the base apertures. The distance between two given base apertures is greater than that between the split and the fold. Thus when the cowl (7a) is between these apertures all apertures are blocked.
