Abstract

The motorcyclist's helmet (1) has a visor which is designed to avoid internal condensation. The geometry of the visor and certain specific air holes obtain a flow of air across the internal eyepiece (5) zone. The visor may be mounted in several alternative positions, and is a monolithic assembly of an upper (5) and a lower (6) curved plate element. When viewed in elevation the two plates (5, 6) subtend an angle of approx. 150 deg.. A perforated groove (7) is provided between the two plates. Air flow on the exterior of the lower plate (6) causes air to pass through the perforations and over the interior of the upper plate (5).
