Abstract

There is a packing of elastomer (3) between the ball itself and the female part of the drawgear. This packing is inserted between the ball and a covering cap (4) over the ball. The elastomer packing adheres to both the cap and the ball. The packing can be applied with a compression preconstraint. The female part of the coupling is generally cylindrical with the front spherical and the covering cap (4) is in two half shells which are hemispheres with an elliptical outer part to form a stop between the packing and the drawgear. A curved part of the drawgear (8) goes over the ball cap and a key (12) retains the ball in position.
