Abstract

The equipment mends bone fractures with the aid of two or more pins (7, 8, 10, 11) secured to the respective bone fragments and to mountings (6, 9), the latter being pressed towards each other by an adjustable force. The force is exerted along an axis (15) parallel to a line (4) perpendicular to the plane of the fracture (5), and arrangements can be made for measuring it. A screw (12) can be used to produce the force between the mountings, these then being locked in position on supports.
