Abstract

A bushing capacitor for installation in a screening wall for the broad-band radio interference suppression of electrical plant has a housing which is the contact to the screening wall and is connected to one set of capacitor plates. The other capacitor plates are joined to an inner conductive tube which is thin-walled enough to permit a crimp connection to a bared-piece of the conductor which is to be protected against interference. This requires only simple soldering, welding and crimping operations to make a reliable connection with the conductor and screen.
