Abstract

A bakery has a recovery system for the heat loss in the pipes discharging hot gases from the oven, and uses it to heat other premises with the aid of a blower. The exchange surface between the flue gases and the air is increased in area by means of a pipe coiled into a spiral, and this contains sand to act as a heat accumulator. Electrical resistances are included, to provide heating throughout the day.
