Abstract

A push and twist tube connection has an external screw thread to locate a coupling ring (11) which has radial lugs. The matching tube (12) has an internal step for the location of the coupling ring (11). Axial slots into which the lugs of the coupling ring fit have right angled portions for the location of the lugs. When the two lugs are coupled, the connection can be secured by counter rotating the two tubes so that the screwed clamp ring (11) produces an axial clamping force. The same result is obtained by providing a screw-on location slot collar and a fixed lug ring.
