Abstract

Electro-magnetic brake control device is for the drive shafts of rope track transport mechanisms, especially hoists, travelling platforms etc, where there is a pair of brake shoes each of which is so controlled by a spring and a core that braking is achieved even when only one brake shoe and/or the corresponding mechanisms is working. Specifically, the shoes are brought from the working- or braking position into the non-working position through the action of a thrust exerted by an axially movable pin acting on the end of the shoe opposite to the support point. This thrusts results against the action of the springs acting on the shoes.
