Abstract

1356394 Brakes GIRLING Ltd 27 Sept 1971 [7 Oct 1970 15 March 1971] 47610/70 and 7061/71 Heading F2F Brakes which are biased towards their applied position by springs 21 disposed coaxially with a pair of brake-applying pneumatic pistons 14, 15, are provided with two independent means for compressing the bias springs to release the brake. The pistons are mounted on a common actuating shaft 18. Inlets 24 fed from independent sources apply the brake, and inlets 25 fed from the same separate sources serve to release the brake against the bias. A fluid control circuit is described (Fig. 2, not shown).
