1343546 Mechanically-actuated spot-type disc brakes BENDIX CORP 2 Aug 1972 36142/72 Heading F2E The disclosure and drawings are substantially identical with those of Specification 1,343,545, but the claims are concerned with the components for mechanical actuation including the lever and force-transmitting elements: the lever has a cable secured to it, the cable extending from the housing; resilient means yieldably urge the lever into engagement with a stop provided within the housing; and the lever and resilient means are wholly enclosed within the housing. Preferably the resilient means consists of a torsional spring having at least one coil circumscribing the assembly (58) and a pair of arms extending from the coil, one of the arms engaging the lever and the other engaging the housing.
