Abstract

The clamping fixture has a circular base plate (2) with radial slots for the attachment of three jaws (1) equally spaced at 120 deg.. Each jaw (1) has a cranked lever (13) pivoting between its sides (7), and one end of this lever is attached to the rod (16) of an hydraulic cylinder (17) actuated by a hydropneumatic pump. Dished ends (6) can be held with the concave side up and against pivotally retractable stops (19) by rollers (14) on the ends of the levers (13) pressing the dished ends upwards. The dished ends can be held with the concave side down and against the base plate (2) by the rollers (14) pressing the dished: ends down.
