Abstract

The clamp can be applied in one manual operation and consists of one sprung (6) and one fixed jaw (5). The sprung jaw is mobile with respect to both the suspension element (2) and the fixed jaw. The fixed jaw is approximately 'C' shaped, its upper section holding a gripping surface (9) for one side of the cable (10). The 'C' centre section has a cut-away to allow passage of the bolt (5) securing both jaws to the suspension element. The fixed jaw is held within the 'C' by the securing bolt and by a sprung (16) shaft (17) secured to the lower arm of the 'C' and sliding within its lower volume. The upper surface of the fixed jaw is shaped to allow the cable to be seated within it.
