Abstract
1456813 Brackets J E L WOLTERS 11 Feb 1975 [15 Feb 1974] 5817/75 Heading A4B [Also in Division E2] A device for suspending articles with a shaft, e.g. tools, by.clamping the shaft, comprising a wall mountable plate 2 and a carrier hook 1 of double U or S shape, the hook 1 being connected to the plate 2 via a resilient bridge 4 of synthetic material integral with the plate. The hook may be undetachably secured to the plate. Alternatively, as shown, a square section upper end 5 of the hook is detachably engaged in a square section bore in a cylindrical member 3 carried by the bridge 4. In use the shaft is engaged and frictionally gripped between the links of the lower U-shaped part of the hook with the lower part of the tool bearing on the wall. The gripping part of the hook is covered by a rubber sleeve 6. The sides of the end 5 of the hook 1 are slightly inclined to the plane of the hook 1 so that it may be fitted in any one of four positions into the bore of the part 3, the hook extending upwardly into position and downwardly in the aperture and the angle of inclination to the wall being different.
