Abstract

The transport system moves good from a soft ground environment and transports them a considerable distance at optimum speeds. The goods are loaded into containers in the soft ground environment and moved by special tractors and self loading trailers both of which are fitted with load spreading wheels to prevent them from sinking into the soft ground. The containers are transferred onto conventional container lorries standing on a hard surface. The transfer is by on-board transfer equipment on either or both vehicles. The system is suitable for quickly moving agricultural produce directly from the field to the processing/distribution points.
