Abstract
Arrangement for compressing and condensing of gases, espec. with multistage compression is used for refrigerating plant, has a combined separator for liquefied gas and intercooler. The form an integral unit with considerably shortened connected pipelines. The gaseous form of the gas is separated from liquefied gas in a separator (8) which is accommodated within an enclosing intercooler. This intercooler (6) is positioned so that it encloses especially the gaseous gas space (9) of the separator. The intercooler chamber has a helical tube (7) which carries liquefied gas and this tube is connected to the liquefied gas section in the separator. The gas space in the separator is connected to the compressor (1) through pipework (11).
