Abstract

A built-in electric convector heater for room heating, mounted e. g. in a wall some distance above floor level consists of a rectangular open fronted casing (1) matching the size of the recess in the wall, and a front panel (2) with the heating element, switches etc, attached, which is secured to the casing. The front panel has narrow flanges (7) around it, so that it projects by between 10 and 50 mm from the surface of the wall. Fresh air (9) can then enter from below through an opening through the bottom edge (8). The bottom face of the casing (1) can also have a hole (4) through it for connecting a tube passing through the wall to supply fresh air from below.
