Abstract

The electric storage heater regulates room air by a sensor within a protective channel, which is traversed by room air and is itself enclosed in a convection air channel. The protective channel (3) is on the rear wall (2) of the housing (1). The air inlet to the channel is on an outside edge of this rear wall. Pref. the protective channel is mounted on a vertical side edge (8) and tilted lengthways upwards towards the centre of the rear wall so that the plane containing the inlet (4) lies parallel to the vertical side edge (8). The inlet lies close to the bottom corner (9) of the rear wall. The protective channel is preferably a plastics tube with low thermal conductivity.
