Abstract

An inertia detector switch (11) used in a circuit in parallel with a motor vehicle stop light circit comprises a steel ball (15) in cylindrical casing (18) which is isolated from a base (17) by plastic ring (19). A hole (20) forms a seat for the ball and the electrical contacts are through the casing and the base with the ball forming the moving contact. This switch is connected to an amplifier (12) which causes a relay (13) to operate stop lights. An indicator (14) to signal the driver contains a reset button.
