Abstract
Heat radiated from flame and combustion products and heat transmitted by convection between combustion products and furnace walls successively heat the water. A part of the wall, with plates ensuring its continuity, is formed by parallel pipes having their ends connected to two water headers, one of which is crossed by the burner while the other has nozzles for water inlet and discharge. Another set of tubes with intermeshing fins is placed around the furnace parallel to the wall tubes. Through the chicanes formed by the fins pass the combustion products which heat the tubes.
