Abstract

A mixer stopper is made up of three parts, the first part being a cap with flat upper surface which fits on the vessel outlet neck. This cap has one opening from which a tube of large cross section projects towards the bottom of the vessel, a second vent opening, a central pivot pin and >=1 spigot on is supper surface. The second part is a disc that sits on the flat surface of the cap with central hole to fit on the pivot pin, one ore more holes coinciding with the spigots so as to lock the disc in position and several calibrated orifices liable to coincide with the hole the cap linked to the tube. The third part is a secondary cap, which fixes on the first cap and has an integral tube along which dilution fluid passes and an opening tha aligns with the tube hole in the lower cap, this opening communicating with a venturi positioned in the integral dilutant fluid tube. One of the orifice positions in the disc is a blank that can be used to seal opening on the flat surface of the lower cap. Used for removing from a vessel, e.g. a bottle, and diluting active liq. cpds., e.g. phyto-sanitary or fertiliser derivs. that are diluted with water and require careful handling as they are harmful to the skin or cause burns. It removes and mixes liqs. in vessel with dilution stream without intermediate handling.
