Abstract

A switch which is operated by the accelerator pedal of the vehicle is connected by a cable to a logic circuit. The logic circuit is also connected to the distributor and an electro-magnetic valve which controls the fuel supply. The logic circuit is activated by the switch which is closed when the accelerator pedal is released. If, in this condition, a signal is received from the distributor that the engine is decelerating, then a signal is transmitted along the cable which closed the valve and shuts off the petrol supply. The valve however remains open under normal slow running conditions.
