Abstract

The seat frame (1) is on a plinth for fixing to the floor (14) and has a thick lining (11) of foam rubber or plastic, its upper surface being concave. On this is an inflatable cushion (4) in one or several positions. The back frame (2) has a convex shaped foam padding (12), a similar inflatable lining (7) and a headrest (10). Both frames are joined together by a pivot (3) at the rear, this joint being lockable by means of a side handle. When the back is folded onto the seat, the cushions are deflated to allow the foam surfaces to nest together. A holding catch (13) is provided.
